A dynamic opportunity is available for a Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) specializing in school-based services at an elementary school setting. This contract role supports student communication and language development throughout the current school year (CSY) in Bear, DE. The position is well suited for professionals holding a Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) in Speech-Language Pathology and experience delivering school-based therapy services.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct speech and language assessments and develop individualized education plans (IEPs)
- Provide direct and consultative therapy services to students with communication disorders
- Collaborate with educators, parents, and multidisciplinary teams to support student progress
- Maintain accurate documentation and comply with district, state, and IDEA guidelines
- Monitor student performance and adjust treatment plans as needed
Qualifications and Experience:
- Valid certification as a Speech-Language Pathologist with CCC credential
- Experience working with elementary-aged children in school settings
- Knowledge of school-based speech-language pathology protocols and IDEA regulations
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills for effective collaboration
- Ability to manage caseload and documentation efficiently within a contract period
